I forgot my GMRS Hub login password.

On the login page, select "Forgot Password" and enter either your registered email or callsign if you’re unsure of the email. Click "Send Password" to receive an email with your password.

How do I update my account information?

Under your account, go to "Profile" to update your first name, last name, nickname, login password, and hometown. For changes to your callsign or email, please contact support at support@gmrshub.com as these fields are permanent.

How do I get a node number?

Once you’re registered with GMRS Hub, visit your account and select "Request Node Number" to begin the process.

Can I request more than one node number?

Yes, you can request as many node numbers as you need. Each request should be made individually, and there’s a 3-minute interval between requests to reduce system errors.

How do I change my node details?

In "My Nodes" under your account, you can modify your node description and city. State designation is fixed for each node number, so if you need a node for a different state (e.g., for a vacation home), request a new node number for that specific state. Node passwords are not adjustable for security and system optimization purposes.

My node isn’t connecting to other nodes. What should I do?

If you’re having connectivity issues, check your node registration status. If it’s labeled "Rejected," the password may be incorrect. If it shows "Timed Out," check your internet connection or ensure the registration URL in `iax.conf` is set correctly, especially for converted clients.

My node is registered, but I still can’t connect to other nodes.

When testing, try connecting to a publicly accessible hub, like the National Hub (101000). If you’ve recently completed setup, wait about 5 minutes for the node database to update on your system. For converted client systems, ensure your `rpt_extnodes` file and `rpt.conf` configurations are correct.

I’m connected to another node but can’t hear or transmit.

Adjust your settings through "Simple USB Configuration" to ensure compatibility with your setup. Configurations can vary, so check our Facebook Group to get insights from members with similar setups.

What are the available hub numbers for connecting?

To find national and state hubs accessible to the public, visit the GMRS Hub Status page. For real-time access, check the Live Node Map, which includes all Official Hubs and Community Hubs available for public use.

Do I need to send GMRS Hub my IAX port number?

No, our system automatically detects your IAX port number to facilitate proper connections. However, if you have multiple nodes on the same network, you may need to configure ports on your local system.
